Boxing Day Collective Haul + Christmas Gifts

Happy Holidays everyone!
I hope that you all stuffed your stomach with lots of food and that your winter holidays have been filled with laughter and cheer.

Disclaimer: This post is in no way of me trying to boast or brag about the things I received. I'm thankful for all that I received this Christmas. Gifts are great and all, but I made the time spent with family and friends my focus this Christmas. Please have fun perusing through this post as I had so much fun making it! Feel free to exit out if it's not your cup of tea.

"Boxing Day" is the Canadian version of America's "Black Friday". Instead of being the day after Thanksgiving, it's the day after Christmas Day. On Boxing Day, most stores are racked up with sales for clearance or just really good deals.

I didn't get much because I'm balling on a budget (being a college student and all.)

I went to Old Navy and they were having an additional 50% off of clearance items, which is super awesome! I snagged a black peasant grid dress for like $7 CAD and a pair of midrise Rockstar denim for $9. Got them both for more or less $20!

Next stop I went to Brandy Melville. They were having a 15% off the entire store sale.
Brandy Melville items rarely go on sale, so I had to take advantage of the deal. I got a black mock neck sweater, white long-sleeve, grey turtleneck short-sleeved sweater, and beige sweater.

(PS: Thanks Paulo for everything!!!)

I saw someone selling these NMD R2 on a local Facebook buy and sell page and I just had to get them! They were sold out at my local Adidas store, so I'm glad that I got a pair.

That concludes all that I purchased on Boxing day.
Here are all the cute gifts that I received for Christmas.

A pastel pink PJ set from my aunt, EOS  lip balm trio set from my other aunt, and a mauve coloured Essie nail polish from my cousin.

Two Lush bath bombs from Paulo's sister.

I remember when I was in elementary, even at an early age where I was able to comprehend, my parents promised to support my studies and education. They said that once I enter post-secondary, they would provide a laptop for me for notes and as a research tool. I wasn't expecting anything for Christmas, so I was really surprised that they got this Macbook Air for me!

I'm super thankful all the gifts and the opportunity to spend my Christmas break with family.

Version 2

Happy December y'all!

If you follow the shoe game, or just know because of the hype, you would know that Kanye's Yeezy Boost 350 v2 got release in late November. I was lucky enough to get my hands on these (thanks to Paulo!!)

I was waiting for the right day to wear them because the weather hasn't been too great here. Luckily, today was alright, so I wore them to my last day of classes.

Top: H&M
Bottoms: Old Navy
Shoes: Adidas x Yeezy Boost 350 v2 in Copper

My colleague who is a sneaker fanatic like myself inspired me to make this post.
(Thanks Matt!!!)

I kept the fit simple with the typical all black look. I didn't want to have too much colour to draw attention away from the sneakers. Plus, the all black outfit represents my early funeral because it's final season!

Good luck to all of you who have exams approaching. Study hard and end this semester off strong.

Relax and vibe to this playlist:

The Camel Coat

Happy November! I hope that the first week of this month has been treating you well.
October went by pretty fast if you ask me. I had loads of fun in October with spending time with family during Thanksgiving, being able to be front row for Chance the Rapper's concert, re-toning my hair to grey, and with Halloween.

I can only wish for this year to end as strong, or even stronger than last year.
I've been stuck with non-stop preparing and studying for my exams at school, and I haven't had the time to update my blog.

Spectacles: Hugo Boss
Coat: Old Navy
Top: Forever 21
Jeans: Aritzia
Shoes: Adidas

Have a lovely week!

Jeffree Star Lip Ammunition Unboxing

Disclaimer: I am not sponsored in any way to make this post.  This Jeffree Star order was purchased with my own money. Everything said in this post is my opinion. All of the photos are mine and were taken by me, or stated otherwise.

Jeffree Star just recently launched his new product called Lip Ammunition
I am in love with his makeup line so I had to order one for myself to try out.
The Lip Ammunition line currently has a series of pinks, and a few pops of colour.

I placed my order the day it launched and I just received my package just yesterday.

Unfortunately, my lipstick didn't get packaged in that cute pink box that Jeffree posted on Instagram, but the contents inside the box is what really matters.

I bought a cult favourite, Celebrity Skin
I'm just so glad that he brought the liquid lipstick shade into a different formula. Celebrity skin is a neutral colour and it goes with almost every skin colour.

I own the Velour liquid lipstick version as well. Here are some comparison swatches.
The liquid lipstick and the lip ammo are both opaque, so one swipe is a lot of pigment.
But of course, the liquid lipstick is (obviously) liquid when being applied and then matte when dried, whereas the lip ammo is a satin finish.

The lip ammo is in this cute pink bullet packaging, which is a similar shape to MAC lipsticks.

Overall, I'm super happy that my lipstick came in and I can't wait to wear it!

Turkey Day

Happy Thanksgiving! (If you're Canadian, and early greetings if you're American)

Today is a day of giving thanks, and I would like to say thank you to everyone who has kept up with my blog even though my view rate is probably not that big. I want to say thank you for taking the time to read, or even look at my blog. To extend my thanks, I have tons of surprises in store. So, stay tuned.

Here's a quick post of what I'm wearing for Thanksgiving.

I hope that you all had a great Thanksgiving!

When September Ends: This Month's Favourites

Another month is trailing to the end. September has treated me well and I enjoyed this month more than I thought I would have.

Here are a few of my favourite things this month.

Top to bottom: Maliboo, Chi, Push Up, Celebrity Skin

Liquid lipsticks have been all that I have been wearing on my lips. In fact, liquid lipsticks have taken over my lip collection. My favourite colours are Maliboo from Kylie Cosmetics, Chi by Karruche from Colourpop, Push Up from Nyx cosmetics, and Celebrity Skin from Jeffree Star.
If you have read my previous post, you would know that I switched from using mascara to using false lashes for everyday use. I have been obsessed with using Ardell's Demi Wispies. These lashes look natural on and they are reusable up to 15 times.

I have been using a lot of bronzer that I've already hit pan on my Kat Von D Shade and Light palette. The shade that I used so much is called Subconsious.

Plain white tees are so versatile. I haven't really noticed, but the majority of the tops I own are white.

Bomber jackets have been in style for quite some time now. I just love the sporty street style it gives to any outfit.

My shoe collection has grown immensely throughout this whole year. Because I am now back in school, I have been reaching for comfort. I gravitate towards sneakers more than anything. Adidas is really killing the shoe game. My favourite shoe would have to be these NMDs in the tan colourway with the hint of coral pink at the back.

I think that speaks for itself.

Chokers have made its way into my Instagram feed, that I've been inspired to buy a few myself. I love how it ties an outfit together despite how it is just a suede string or ribbon around the neck.

(Click here to see my Carousell page!)

I really love thrifting and finding new items for fairly cheap. I love browsing through local Facebook groups that sell preloved items and clothing bought on impulse. I recently discovered this app called Carousell. It is a platform similar to Poshmark for buying and selling preloved clothing. I've gotten a lot of cute pieces brand new with the tags on. I definitely recommend browsing through Carousell because you'll ever know what you find!

Frank Ocean's album Blonde released in late August and I've been listening to it non-stop. My favourite songs are Pink + White, Solo, Skyline To and Futura Free.

I hope that you enjoyed this month as much as I have! I also hope that you enjoyed perusing through this post.

September Collective Haul ♡

Hello blogosphere!
I did a lot of damage to my bank account this month, but it is worth it because I got tons of cute stuff for my wardrobe and makeup collection.

I got tons of things ranging from fashion and beauty to totally miscellaneous items.

-   -   -

For clothing and accessories, I got two bomber jackets, a blanket scarf, white boyfriend jeans and grey girlfriend jeans (both of which are not in this post.)

I got this pink bomber jacket from this app called "Carousell". It's a place online where you can post your preloved clothing and sell it. I got the bomber brand new with the tags for only $25! A really good deal because it retails for $43.

I also got this black bomber jacket from Garage. It retails for $69, and it was on sale for $49! I love the whole bomber jacket trend. It's super perfect for the fall season.

Aritzia had a warehouse sale early this month and unfortunately, I was unable to go myself. I got this scarf brand new from someone that when to the sale and decided to resell.
This scarf is called the Gloomy Days blanket scarf by Wilfred

As far as makeup goes, I'm super happy with my purchases.

I got the Lorac Pro To Go palette. I love it so much! It's super compact and pigmented.

I have an obsession with lashes. I switched from wearing mascara to just putting on strips of lashes. I just find it easier and I feel like it looks fuller than applying mascara.

Surprise, surprise! Another Kylie Lipkit. I finally got the Kylie lipkit in Exposed. A really nice warm-toned neutral.

If you know, or not, I collect Disney Tsum tsums. My collecting addiction has died down a tad bit, but i really like this month's Tsum tsum collection. I got Ursula from The Little Mermaid and Maleficent from Sleeping Beauty.

If you follow me on Instagram, you would know that I had a trip down to Portland. My older cousin has this journal where she keeps her daily thoughts and ideas in. I felt inspired by her, so I got these really cute notebooks from Winners.

Last but not least, I got this skull candle holder from Daiso! Just $2 for some really cute room decor.

I hope that you liked my little collective haul post!

Dope Taupe

I have been feeling inspired by the whole bomber/varsity jacket trend. As I'm curating this post, I realize that in my previous outfit post I'm wearing another bomber jacket. I'm super obsessed with the outerwear that soon enough I'm pretty sure that I'm going to be collecting different styles of bombers. On the bright side, the fall and winter season is approaching which is the perfect excuse to star accumulating cold weather pieces.

I have been inspired by a lot of monotone and muted colours in my outfits lately. I haven't found myself wearing much colour now that summer is (not technically, but) over. Super excited to finally pull out all my sweaters, cozy up with cuddles and PSL.

Bomber: Forever 21
Shirt: Old Navy
Choker: Thifted
Mom Jeans: Garage Clothing
Shoes: NMDs from Adidas
Lip Colour: Lolita by Kat Von D

I hope that this week hasn't been too hard or frustrating for you!

With Love, Kathleen
