Merry Christmas & Happy Holidays

I apologize for the lack of posts. I thought that I was going to follow through with my idea of Blogmas, but it was a total fail. I was swamped with homework, assessments, work, and projects that I never really got to sit in front of my computer.

Anyways, I hope that you are all having a lovely winter.
Merry Christmas to you all :)

Here's my Christmas Day outfit.

(I don't even own clothing that scream out CHRISTMAS; you know, the typical red, green, and gold sequins. It's pretty sad because the majority of my closet is black and white.)

My cream blouse is from Charlotte Russe. I love it so much because of the criss-cross detail on the back and the crochet bell sleeves. I'm soooo sad because there isn't a Charlotte Russe store in Canada.

My skirt is from JACOB, and my nude flats are from Forever 21.

My wire necklace is from Brandy Melville, and my pink quilted bag is from Steve Madden.

Here are some of the gifts I received on Christmas! I'm so thankful, although I really didn't have a set Christmas wishlist.

I got this makeup brush set. The brushes are super soft and I can't wait to use them!

You can't go wrong with gifting a pair of socks because everyone needs socks. I love them so much.

I got this mini perfume set. I think that it's great because I can just throw one into my purse and spritz it whenever.
My favourite scent is POSH; it smells so fruity.

I got two books. Through the Woods is a comic book filled with horror stories. I've already read through it and I loooooove it! I still have yet to read Lost At Sea, but I think that I like it already.

Lastly, I got Super Smash Bros. Well it wasn't really gifted for me, I bought it for my brother, but I play it too, so I consider it a little treat for myself.

I hope that you all are having a wonderful Christmas time.

Nails of the Week

Guess where I saw these silver fake nails?
You would never guess! I found them at the dollar store.
There were gold ones, matte black ones and matte white ones as well! It's really awesome.

These are fake nails and it is so sturdy for something that's only $1.
I will totally repurchase these and all the other ones too. Especially the gold ones!

(Psssst! I might even do a giveaway sometimes in December and you might be a lucky winner to receive and pack of silver nails and other goodies! Stay tuned)

Early December Makeup Haul

I pretty much spent half of my paycheck on myself. Early Christmas to myself I guess.
After I blew the bank, I don't think that I will buy anymore makeup for awhile.

I went to MAC to kill some time, and I asked one of the workers to help me find a neutral lip, give me tips on how to contour, and find the perfect concealer.

The employee that helped me was really helpful and kind towards me.

He recommended 3 lipsticks, and he said that the matte lipstick called Velvet Teddy looked really nice on my complexion.

I needed help with concealer, so the artist tested this concealer under my eyes. I did not purchase it, but he was lovely enough to give me sample.

The makeup artist quickly did my whole face - eyeshadow, eyeliner, mascara, blush, everything! He buffed my face with MAC's studio fix and I decided to purchase it since I don't own any powder.

My friend came over to my house and she was wearing this lipstick called Touch of Spice from Maybelline.

The lipstick name sounded so familiar, and we both realized that a YouTuber (Nicole Guerriero) mentioned it in one of her videos.

I was lucky enough to find a full display of the matte lipstick collection at my local drugstore, so I picked it up.

I actually didn't own foundation until recently. I remembered that Sephora does a Colour IQ test where an employee takes pictures of your skin to help find the perfect foundation.

The worker tried out three different foundations, but one was too light, the other appeared ashy on my skin, but Make Up For Ever's HD Foundation was the best fit for my colour and skin.

I also got Kat Von D's Tattoo liner, because I ran out of liquid liner.

There was a sale for Real Technique brushes at a different drugstore, so I saw it as an opportunity to get a powder brush for my Studio Fix and a stippling brush for my foundation!

I still want to collect more makeup, but as for now, I really need to save money for Christmas presents!

November Favourites

I don't have that many favourites for November because I didn't really venture out and try out products that "wow'ed" me.

This scarf is amazing! It keeps me warm in chilly weather especially when I have work in the evening. It's from Aldo, and I got it as a gift a few years ago, so I doubt that they'll have this in store. You can check, but I don't think they have them.

This is my favourite lip colour combo for November. Usually you think that autumn is all about the deep and vampy lips. I actually wore my lips neutral the majority of the time instead.

I like to apply Nars' Bangkok first and then add dimension with MAC's Whirl lip pencil.

My favourite mascara is L'Oreal's Voluminous Million lashes. It keeps my lashes in tact all day without smudging or giving me raccoon eyes.

I love having a strong brow game, so over the summer I got the Anastasia Dipbrow Pomade in Ebony. I should have gotten it in a lighter shade, but Ebony will suffice for now. I really recommend that you try it out if you haven't!

My favourite songs of the month are:

Lastly, my favourite food, or shall I say drink, is Tim Horton's French Vanilla. [Thanks Caitlin!]

It's Beginning to Look a lot Like Christmas

It's finally December! I'm going to be doing Blogmas again this year.

I decided to go to the dollar store earlier this afternoon to get some Christmas decorations. Yesterday, I went to Daiso's sister store called YokoYaya 123 in search for Christmas decor as well, but they didn't have much selection.

The theme colours of my room decor are silver, red, black, white, and green.

I love this owl so much! It's actually a piggybank! Or shall I say "Owlbank".

My heart shaped mirror is from Forever 21 if you are wondering!

I filled this shadow box with faux poinsettias, it looks lovely because it's 3D.

I added these two garlands to my bed frame and my curtain rod.

I tied my curtains on both sides with a cute red bow.
On one panel of my room, I hung a candy cane that its decked out with loads of tinsel.

Are you in the Christmas spirit yet?
