Change is Good

Happy New Year's Eve! I hope that you're having a lovely day so far :3
Anyways, if you follow me on Instagram, you would know that I recently chopped my hair off. I've been growing my hair for almost a year and a half because my plan was to donate it to a local cancer foundation so that they can make it into a wig for patients undergoing treatment. I did it in honour of my uncle because he is currently doing chemo therapy and my Godmother because she survived Breast cancer.

In the beginning of every year, I change my hair in a certain way. In the beginning of 2013, I got a fringe. To start off 2014, I got a bob cut.

16 inches of my hair will be mailed soon and be made into a wig :3 It's very satisfying to do a simple deed.

My prayers and heart goes out to all those who are suffering from Cancer and those in pain. I pray that God may give them strength to conquer their pain. Stay strong!

What is a random act of kindness that you've done this holiday?

December Favourites

Another month has swiftly passed by. This means another favourite post! I honestly can't believe how much time passes by. It's almost 2014!
I've literally been playing GBA on my iPhone and iPad ever since I discovered it from someone I follow on Instagram!

This is the Maybelline Color Tattoo in the colour Bad to the Bronze. I've been using this almost everyday as a base for my lid. It a very beautiful neutral bronze colour and it's great for everyday wear.

I had to include my Naked 3 Palette in this post. I pretty much rave about this palette. If you want to see a more in-depth post of this palette, check out this link :3
Okay, I think that I've talked about these two MAC lipsticks enough...The one on the left is Rebel and the one on the right is Cyber. These lipsticks are both satin and more of a purple plummy colour. Rebel appeared in my last favourites post. I also posted about Cyber, so if you want to know more go and check it out!
My mom bought some makeup recently and the worker gave her a bunch of samples including a few of the perfume Daisy by Marc Jacob. I've been drenching myself in this scent and I should really get the full size! It's a sweet florally kind of scent.
If you've been reading my blog, you would know that I've talked about this soap countless of times. This is Angel's Delight from LUSH. Unfortunately, it's a limited edition soap, so hopefully they bring this back! It smells like fruit punch and its just beautiful.
I've been wearing this dress a lot ever since I got it. My mommy got this dress for me unexpectedly. It's a Polka Dot Ponte Sleeveless Skater dress from American Apparel. I love it a lot and I really like the deep cut in the back! Shout out to my mom for buying this for me and for having an awesome taste in fashion!
This body butter has been hiding in my drawer and I use it right before I sleep. I like to rub this body butter on my legs and arms. It makes my skin feel soft and it has a nice tropical scent to it!
Lastly, Snow Fairy. I apologize because the LUSH stuff that I've been posting are limited edition. I bought this shower gel in November and I barely made a dent to this! I like to switch up my soaps everyday. I love love love Snow Fairy!

Father Christmas Bath Bomb

Hello all you lovely peoples :3 I decided to relax last night with a lovely lush bath. I have a couple of bath bombs that I need to use up!
This is the Father Christmas bath bomb. It is a limited edition bath bomb and I believe that it's not available anymore. Hopefully LUSH will bring this one back for you to try yourself!

As you can see, Father Christmas looks like Santa's face; moustache, beard and everything. I think that it looks super cute.
When you drop it into the water, it turns a peachy colour and there is a bit of green peaking through. When I bought this, the employee told me that when you pop it into the tub, the water is red at first and then it turns green!

Last year, the Father Christmas bath bomb had gold glitter in it, and this one doesn't.

The bath water turns into a pretty emerald green colour and it's very pretty. It's too bad that my camera can't catch the colour that you see in person.

Appearance of Bomb:
I think that the look of the bath bomb matches well with the name. Kudos to you LUSH!

I'm not very fond of the smell. It's a citrusy scent. When you sniff the bomb, it smells great. I'm not sure if it's just me, but when I plunked it into the tub, it smelled like window cleaner.

It was $6.40 CAD. Usually people who don't buy much from LUSH are like "Oh gawd, that's expensive!", but I think that it's a decent price for that bath bomb. The bath bombs at LUSH range from $3.95-$6.95. For a huge bath bomb that is almost the size on my hand, I'd say that $6.40 is not too shabby.

Effect on (my) Skin:
I've tried maybe 5 bath bombs so far, and they pretty much have the same effect on my skin. Father Christmas made my skin really soft in the end. When you lather with the bath water, it feels silky and smooth.

I'm hoping that they sell this bomb again next year!
